Just a quick word of appreciation for this business. My computer would not start and they were able to diagnose free of charge that the problem was with my charger, not the computer. I had a great experience with Vladimir. He was very kind, responsive, and honest. I will definitely consider them again in the future if needed.

My printer was not really broken but for some reason reason wasn't printing. I thought it was going to be a ton of money to fix. Thankfully it was a simple fix and even though it took a couple days they did not charge me the full diagnostic amount. They have a very reasonable price and my printer is working awesome!

I have been going to them for various computer issues most recently for my son's gaming computer. I took it to a few different places that his friends had recommended and they were not able to diagnose the issue. I finally took it to EON and they had it up and running in a few hours. In all my other experiences they are very honest about recommendations and never try to up sell. Highly recommended!

Brought in my imac. Vladimir called me after his analysis with suggestions for updates/repair. The issues were addressed, resolved, and he also performed a thorough health check. Very professional, prompt, and reasonably priced. Happy to have used their service.

Hard drive died and I was able to drop off my computer and pick up same day. Yah! And the labor/parts was a deal. Exceptional customer service and called to give me updates. I received a faster drive and computer feels brand new. Thanks Eon!

Do not, under any circumstances, trust your data to this company. They were u able to pull all of my data from an old Windows hard drive after repeated attempts, and then destroyed my disc without alerting me, calling me to pick it up or mailing it to me. This after explicit instructions that I wanted the disc back regardless of any result, and after I inquired about purchasing my own adapter from them since I was able to see more data in their office than was downloaded to the hard drive I gave them for the transfer.

Their technician promised repeatedly to follow up and/or call me back but failed to call me even once in six months to follow up. Lo and behold, after posting my previous review I received a call and was informed that my hard drive was still in their posses, and was just on a different shelf. I think I will let the rest of the review stand.

I called to see if I could bring my laptop in because it stopped working when I tried to open it. They took me in, assessed and problem-solved the issue and were able to quickly repair the computer. The staff was professional, helpful, and friendly. They will definitely be my "go to" for technology support in the future.

A few days ago a document I have been working on for nearly 50 years (first on paper and then on a computer) disappeared without warning, and nothing I could do would bring it back. That I was beside myself is an understatement. I was practically suicidal. But I hadn't forgotten that Eon - which I originally found through Yelp - had helped me with another problem a couple of years ago.

Perhaps they could help me again? A silly question. To my amazement, half an hour after I'd handed over my PC to Vladimir, he called me to say that he had retrieved the entire document, that it was intact, and that he wanted to know if he should clean up, test, and upgrade the whole machine, while he was about it, for no extra cost! I wasn't going to say no.

So I shall be working on my document again tomorrow, secure in the knowledge that Eon is there to save me if disaster strikes again. My heartfelt thanks to Vladimir and the whole crew at Eon. They deserve all the praise they get from the public. Go to them first if you're in trouble.

I made some elementary computer mistakes but I found Eon Tech! I took my laptop in and explained my issue and within 2 business days, I was back up and running and my mistake didn't cost me the "memories aka photos" - just cost me for my own bonehead mistake! Awesome service and pleasure to have them in the area and open during Covid! Thank you for fixing my laptop and for the great advice!

BE CAREFUL! I Just received a fake check from a scammer with this location on it. I'm going to call and see if they are legit and why a scammer would use their address. I put 4 stars because I dont know their company but needed to write this review. Why are they associated?

I went in expecting to be rejected by this business considering the age of my operating system. Zack was the most professional IT guy i had ever expected to talk with. I explained my delema to zack in detail. He explained to me their pricing on repairs without any additional sales pitch. I was delighted. I just wanted the original operating system reloaded as it originally came with.

Also to determine why my unit was not recieving a VGA signal. Zack assured me he would do the appropriate testing and get back to me with his findings. What i did not expect was the call back within 24 hours to tell me my unit was rebooted and ready for pickup. They did not try and sell me anything i had not gone in for. I highly recomend EON Technologies for any and all your computing needs. Thanks Zack for such an amazingly fast turn around time! You Rock!

I used Yelp to get a quote for services that I need and Eon Technologies is the only one that really took the time to examine my request, review related materials and get back to me with a proper quote. I respect that which is why I'm giving them five stars even though I've decided to use another service. Unfortunately, when Yelp sent out my request for a quote they sent that request to Eon which is too far from my home. That's not Eon's fault; if they were closer to home then they would have got my business.

I work with Barbara and Robert on a regular basis and have opted to renew a contract with Eon Technologies as they have been reliable in providing specialized assistance in printer repairs when we need outside help.

Via Yelp, Eon quoted me a flat fee to build a computer from a bag of parts. Some weeks later, I came to the shop with my bag of parts. They had the computer built by the end of the day. They charged me exactly the quoted fee, and the computer works great. Perfect!

Inherited my daughter's laptop but it was running so slow. Remembered I had a good experience with Eon several years ago. Apparently they had records of my being a customer in 2006. Yikes! They told me they charge a flat rate of $130 and then any parts on top of that. I detailed to them what I had tried to do to rectify the laptop issue while Zachary took copious notes.

He told me he should be able to look into it shortly. I received a call from Zachary later in the day giving me a status of his testing an potential issues. When he was done with the testing, he called me again with status and suggested resolution. And called again when fix was completed. I have a working laptop now and very happy with results, service, and details of the calls.

If i had gone in earlier, I probably would've had it back the same day. But as it was, I got it back in leas than 24 hours. I eecommend Eon to anyone with computer issues!

Went in for a simple fan replacement for my laptop based on the BIOS error I was getting. The office is a little old school but the person I worked with was nice. He went in, found my old fan was just obstructed so he fixed it and charged me less than the quoted cost, all within 4 hours.

Zach did an awesome job helping me clone my hard drive to a solid state drive I got off Amazon. I wasn't tech savvy enough for this task so I dropped my laptop off at the shop and he finished by the next day. 5/5 would come back again for future repairs and whatnot

Great! I recommend! This company has been in Alameda since the 90s and the people are friendly. Our business, Montessori Elementary School of Alameda (MESA) needed help with our wireless network setup. The network was slow, unreliable and we really were not sure what was going on. The actual owner of Eon Technologies came to our site and spent hours with us going through the whole setup (which was basically a mess. Labyrinths of cables) and found a router that was not even being used. Eon technologies was a lifesaver for our business.

Since the beginning of the school year is in full swing, we needed Internet throughout the campus for the students as well as the administration staff. We are keeping in touch for help at our other campus and expect similar results.

Vile Canon program was my problem, could not print. Eon Tech guy was super nice and patient. It is an actual place, a store, on a corner on Lincoln, with a guy behind the counter, the nice guy, and people like me coming in to get help with computer problems. First off, I called, and the woman on the phone was also really nice. And clear about charges.

So the guy behind the counter worked on it for like 45 minutes, in between helping other people, and he did not think he had fixed my problem when I left, dragging my laptop and printer back home, but thanks to what he did and MOSTLY to what he explained to me, and where he left the vile program that did this to me, I got it to work when I got home! YAY! I can print again! He was very patient with a not young, not tech-y person (me.) And they do house calls!

When I lived in Alameda, Eon was my go to place for computer repair. However, I recently moved to San Diego and suffered a computer problem. I called Eon and even though I live 500 miles away, they were able to log into my computer and reload Excel and Word and clean up a few other issues. The entire process took about 30 minutes and at a reasonable cost of $65. Thanks Eon and Drew in particular. You guys are great!

I must say I am surprised by the negative reviews here. I used Yelp when I researched computer repairs last year. Eon has excellent reviews over on Yelp and my experience with them supports those ratings. I have now used Eon twice and both times I was very satisfied with the service I got from Zach. And receptionist/owner/whatever Barbara is always pleasant, though she understandably needs to defer to the techies to answer any questions. I found their flat rate pricing of $130 to be fair for the amount of work they did for me, the two times I used them.

I wanted to make a more recent review here, since the two other reviews are several years old: Eon Technologies is one of the worst IT companies I've ever worked with. A)They do not communicate effectively about the status of work requests; they do not email or call when they say they will. B)They were in charge of IT for an office with one server and four terminals yet did not properly set up our server, modem or router to be more secure, but instead left our equipment partially set-up, with the same default passwords and settings that left us open to attacks for years. (You know, like on Linksys routers, the default username is "admin", default password "admin" [or sometimes no password at all, ] and Comcast modems have default username of "cusadmin" and default password of "highspeed"; which are all very easy for someone with half a brain to find and use to deal a crippling blow to sensitive [client] data if they just pointed at our public IP address.) C)We called them several times for the same issue (connectivity to network resources), but they were never able to fix in the years we did business with them what I fixed in a day (all I had to do was assign IP addresses.) D)I fired these guys, and asked for all things and information regarding the products and services we bought from them, or had them service; Vincent, the technician sent me a list of things, one of which was a subscription that they just recently sent us an invoice to renew, like we were actually going to pay them.

Come to find out, we were subscribing to a internet security product under their license, that Eon Technologies was supposed to MANAGE for us. But, let's be honest, if they weren't paying attention to simple things like setting up a server correctly, or to keeping our networks safe by using non-default passwords and settings, I'm entirely confident saying I don't believe they were even managing that side of our service either. E)Barbara, the receptionist who answers the phone is rude.

When I went in in person she was even ruder. Personally, I don't like the woman at all, and I'm happy--OVERJOYED--that I don't have to deal with her anymore. But YOU should believe me on this one. Barbara's customer service skills are non-existent at worst, and very poor at best. F)I would STRONGLY recommend you hire ANYONE ELSE. Because Eon Technologies will not take care of you.

I found this business on Yelp. My computer broke on me and froze up. Was in a panic. They were able to fix my computer within 4 hours. Extremely happy. Highly recommend this place!

I didn't actually use their services, but I'm posting a five star review anyway, and here's why: After engaging in days of hand to hand combat with my wireless network router and the manufacturer's telephone customer service, I finally gave up and called Eon to set up an appointment to get my network back in operation. Eon seemed to have the best local reviews on Yelp.

A technician answered the phone and said that the office manager was not available to schedule an appointment, but to call back in a couple of days. He asked me what the problem was. I described it for him and after a brief discussion, he looked up the specs on my cable modem and noted that the modem had a wireless network built-in. Based on that little clue from the technician, I hung up and kept digging around and a half hour later, I figured out how to get the modem's wireless network working like a champ.

That clue from the tech turned out to be the breakthrough I needed to solve my network problem. Thanks Eon for your help! Next time, I will not screw around and call Eon right away and save myself countless hours of cursing and frustration.

My company uses Eon Technologies exclusively, and I have been using them since I started almost 2 years ago. Every time I call, I am greeted by Barbara and she does her best to get me someone to talk to. If they are busy, they call me back in a timely fashion. I must have called and spoke to Acmed a million times and he is a God send! I live in Alameda and sometimes I might have to go into the office to bring my laptop, and they are always so friendly. They really know their stuff! Thank you Eon Technologies!

Can I put 25 Stars up?/! These guys and Barbara are the best! Immediate response to my crazed pulling my hair out, biting my nails off phone calls. They log in remotely and fix the problem usually with in 30 to 60 minutes. Even things that have baffled my AT&T Tech 360 service contact techs have been solved and repaired by the techs at EON. They realize the importance of my office computer and know I'm virtually out of business until it's back-up and running smoothly. Thanx EON! You are RockStars when it comes to computer service! In an era where everything is now disposable, Eon Tech has shown me that even though my 5 yr old PC was on the fritz, there was no reason to throw down $800 to purchase a new one. Zach was able to diagnose the situation over the phone, and in 2 days, he had everything fixed. He even upgraded my memory and tweaked an internet connection issue I was having for no extra fee!

Super friendly, super competent, super professional, super informative! Saved me at LEAST $700, and told me there was no reason I couldn't get a few more years out of my machine. Would recommend to anyone with any computer problems. Good to see people still know how to FIX things!

I've used the services of these folks on a number of occasions, and also had them build a computer for me. They've done a great, timely, and effective job every time around at very reasonable rates. They even know how to explain and communicate tech-speak to a someone such as myself. Local, knowledgeable and they conduct their business with integrity.

I have taken my PC to them a couple of times over the last two years. I have been called to update before I felt I needed to call them. How rare is that for a computer repair firm? Their prices are reasonable and in both cases I had my computer back within 2 business days.
