Great service from David Mercado. He made the whole process very simple. Explained to me everything he did to repair my laptop and even found a way to fix my hard drive so I didn’t need a replacement, saving me money. Very pleased with the repair and I would defiantly recommend custom pc to a fried.

David Mercado on Beechmont was a tremendous help to me in recovering files and a laptop that had crashed due to several virus issues. He never gave up and also suggested AVG, plus an external hard drive for backup. As my laptop is my life these days, David went above and beyond as quickly as he could to get the job done. I took my old pc tower to the Custom-PC shop on Beechmont Avenue to have them diagnose a problem. Tom B. quickly assessed the situation and corrected it. Other problems came later and Tom saved valuable data for me. Tom and David, who also works with Tom at that location are excellent computer repair specialists. I will always take my business to that shop because of them.

Sorry to say my opinion of this company has changed very quickly. They custom built a computer for me less than a year ago, which cost nearly $3000. Recently, I have had a recurring problem which I was hoping I could have them address remotely. I think it should have been a simple fix, but the guy who just answered me call told me he couldn't help me without even taking the time to listen to what the issue is.
He told me the owner retired, they weren't servicing "residential clients" (whatever that means), and said his "hands were tied" and couldn't help. I spent $3000 with you, and you won't even hear me out? The guy cut me off several times and wouldn't let me finish a thought. Appalling customer service. I did like doing business with the now-retired owner, but I would urge "residential clients" to look elsewhere if they expect service after the sale.

Found this gem of a place close to where I live! I came here for water damage for my MacBook Air hoping to get the data retrieved. I was helped by Ron, and he was fantastic! Super friendly and kept me up to date on how the retrieval was going. My data was retrieved and laptop was ready for pickup within the same day also! My computer was slowing down plus the storage drives were 8 years old and almost full. I love my older Toshiba Qosmio and rather than replace it and having to start new, I sent it to Fortress Computers. I got my laptop back and the technicians replaced the old drives with SSD drives with all my programs are running so fast I thought I had the latest computer.

These guys are GREAT. They've helped with a batch of things from computer repairs, to putting in a new router (and the code they give you is GREAT because they do something so it's easy to remember). I have been doing business with them for over 20 years. I have an old Sony Vaio all in one (11 yrs old) that had a failing hard drive. I went to Fortress Computer with the unit, and they were able to save my programs and files, and install them on a new 2TB Samsung SSD. WOW what a difference from my old drive (even when it was working well). I had a few issues with the windows system when I first received the computer back, and they gave me free tech support, and straightened everything out.
The Vaio runs faster and better than it was brand new. If you have computer issues, this is the place to go, straight up, honest people with integrity. Thanks so much Marc and Fortress!

It was my first time building my own custom gaming/workstation PC. My lack of experience led me to an issue where my rig refused to power my gpu, fans and even boot up. Unable to figure out why that was, I brought my build to this place. Marc was very friendly and wasted no time taking it in for a 60 dollar diagnostic. Turnover time was less then 24 hours with explanation as to why I had the issues I had. They also adjusted/rewired my fans without costing me extra! Everything works now and I am ecstatic!

Windows 10's forced update caused my computer to lock me out during sign-in. After two calls, 4 days, and no work-around in sight from Microsoft, Ron found a solution to get me into my computer and back to work. Wow Wow Wow is all I can say about the professional, intelligent and hard workers at Fortress Computers! My mom has been a long time client of Fortress (MORE than 15 years) and they have never disappointed. Today, Dale helped revolutionize my mother's life by helping her log into her computer (via Log Me In) remotely so she can be with my family in San Francisco. These guys saved me so much time, I was attempting to build a computer on my own and just couldn't figure it out exactly, and when I finally found the Fortress team it only took them a couple of days. I was blown away by the customer service and the quality of work. My PC runs great now! Will definitely use again. It's a bonus they were very close by, too.

Was in the market for a secondary home PC that would be used for light computing and was interested in a refurbished machine as I have heard good things. I contacted Fortress which was right down the road and Marc hooked me up with a great secondhand machine that has been fast, quiet, and thus far a perfect investment. I got exactly what I was after for a fraction of what I would have paid for a new machine. Glad to have Fortress so close by. Will definitely be doing business with them again! Thanks Marc!

So happy I found this place. It will be my new computer spot. I tried them because they were open on a Saturday. Bonus when you are in a jam. You would be surprised how many of these type of places are closed on Saturday and Sunday. The owner himself greeted me on a Saturday. He is a super nice guy, Marc, he was thorough and took his time explaining the process.
They weren't able to fix my laptop with out having to reset it, but I recently backed my data up so. Oh yeah! I have learnt that lesson already before. I was called by Fortress every step of the way as problems were discovered. I was given correct time frames, and excellent follow up. The prices are reasonable. Parking is plentiful. Unfortunately, I have been to several computer places in the past.
They can be run down, depressing and dingy. But Fortress is clean with a cool, classy, modern logo for customers to take in which feels fresh. I am a satisfied customer and will be back.; Umm.hopefully not to soon though.
