I went to the Mesquite location because of a referral from a friend. I was that person that thought I could open my computer and put my own battery in. Consequently, I broken the top plastic top of my laptop and felt hopeless. I walked in there and right away they assured me that it would be okay and new exactly what to do. When all was said and done, I walked out with a practically new computer from the inside out.
I am not the most the most knowledgeable about all this stuff, and it so was wonderful because they were so patient and helpful with me. The communication was perfect! I would 100% recommend this place for any computer needs!

Racist people here folks-after $80 not refunded for services not rendered, they made my wife pay extra money to get back my daughters watch. We dropped it off for a battery that took a month to get. They got the wrong battery and wouldn't let us have watch without $25 charge. Eventually after calling the cops we got the watch back with no battery and the watch taped together. It was perfect when we dropped off. I can't tell you enough DO NOT GO HERE.

My daughter's HP Envy 360 went completely dark one day. She took it to Best Buy where I bought it from and they would not even look at it. Said they would bury it in a bucket of sand in fear the battery exploding. She was in school in another state and out of panic, she let the rep talk her into buying another one! Boy was I mad. I heard a co-worker talking about taking her computer to this place and she saved loads of money since she did not have to buy another computer. So I followed her lead. They fixed my daughter's computer, which is now mine and it works perfectly. I highly recommend them!

The service tech at Computer guys in Mesquite told me he broke the home button while replacing the screen on my iPhone. Then charged me to fix it even though it is not fixed and still does not work. Then, when I asked if they would reimburse me for taking it to Apple to get it fixed a different service tech started arguing with me and said " how do you know it wasn't broke when you brought it. did we check it before we replaced the screen".
I wasn't even upset about them breaking the home button because I understand that things happen but why did they charge me to fix it and they never even fixed it and it's still broken and then tried to blame me when I asked if they would reimburse me for taking it to get it fixed by Apple? I've been taking cell phones game consuls computers laptops to this location for the last 10 years and I will no longer be a customer there anymore because of the way they treated me yesterday. They made me wait over four hours. I just don't want this to happen to anyone else.

Had an issue with a recent repair and posted about it on Google. Mario contacted me and offered to revisit the issue with me and corrected the issue promptly. I always like to patronize businesses that will be honest and upfront. Mario was exactly that. I have been going to them for years and they usually are very good with making repairs quickly and at a reasonable price. If a mistake is made (and we ALL make them) they will address it and correct it immediately. Good place to take your equipment for repairs.

Problem is that by the time you read reviews on a place, it's too late as it means you've probably already been screwed over, which has happened to me. I made the mistake of canceling my bestbuy appointment(and at the time they weren't accepting walk-ins), so I did a google search, told them my situation with my niece's laptop, and they told me that they could fix it.
Her laptop's charge port was broken($30 part online, simple fix from what I saw on youtube), yet they charged me $80, and I'm not convinced they used the actual part, but instead used a cheap aftermarket one, or ripped one out from some old donated laptop. But after getting the laptop back which STILL DID NOT charge and went so slow that it wasn't usable, I was shocked to see that easy this was to do, yet I was charged $80.
And they installed windows to try(didn't work) to fix the freezing/slow issues for $150 total. As mentioned on their google reviews, their communication is bad, really bad. A simple call asking about the status of their laptop had me on hold for 10 minutes before hanging up on me. One of the owners tried to defend this(shameful btw) by blaming covid and them being backed up as a result.
Not only is this still not a valid excuse, it's not the reality of the situation. Sadly, in the past month, I've went up there at least 4 times, and each time there were only a handful of people, and the guys there were working at a relaxed, casual pace. So this lady lied about that, instead of owning up to the problems they have with communication, which is not only from what I've seen, but others well before the covid pandemic started.
Long story short they didn't do their job diagnosing the problem, and wanted me to keep throwing money which would have been close to the amount I spent on this NEW laptop in the first place. Their response to my review on google was also a lie about what actually went on and what I agreed to pay for. They charged me for a 'fixed' laptop that isn't fixed.
They obviously don't care about customer satisfaction, and care solely about their bottom line. I get it's a business, but they ripped me off and unlike what they claim(lie) about from someone elses bad experience, they WILL NOT make it right.

Not the first or last time I will visit Computer Guys of Dallas. I took my Mac Mini 2018 to have two pieces soldered. Yes, I damaged it twice during the RAM upgrade process for those who have done it. Took it in and had it resolved within 24 hours. Apple did not want to bother with it, which is no surprise, but these guys did. Staff is friendly which is a major key for me and they will do their best to fix just about every electronic device out there. Definitely will return back if I come across any issues from my devices.

:/ I came in with an iPhone with cracks across the top. A week later I walk out of the store with it worse than it was. I'm sure they're great with computers. iPhones, not so much. The screens they have to fix cracked iPhones are aftermarket cheap eBay/Amazon screen with horrible touch response and makes the iPhone feel cheap. When they sent me home with the super damaged screen they told me they would call me when a lesser damaged screen was available like the original cracks-across-the-top screen I had.
It's been over a month and no call. Also, one guy is really rude. Everyone else is very nice and helpful. Update: It seems they try to be helpful when the damage is already done and the service is no longer wanted AFTER a negative review is left.

I called several places trying to get an estimate on a repair on my laptop that no longer powered on, I was met with rude techs who seemed to be bothered and angry with me calling and asking questions. Finally, I called Computer Guys and Mario was very helpful and patient. He offered me a free diagnostics if I brought it in. They were very honest, turned out all I needed was a Charger!!
