We'll tell you exactly how much the task will cost before we perform it - regardless how long it takes for us to complete the computer repair. So if we get the service done in 5 minutes or 5 hours, it still costs the same price. In the traditional pay-per-hour plan, you get stuck with a bill for all the hours the computer tech spends working for you. Under that payment plan, if the computer repair tech estimates it to take an hour and it turns out it took him 3 hours, he'll bill you for all 3. That seems a little unfair, don't you think?
If we start a computer service, whether it is fixing Dell Desktop computers or Toshiba laptops, and after a couple of hours realize we can't fix it - we don't charge you. We figure you're paying us to get the job finished. The evil pay-by-hour plan would mean you'd have to pay the tech for the two fruitless hours he attempted to fix the problem.

Went way over and above what I could have expected. I had a Power issue with my Dell PC. They came over the same day within a few hours, with the proper parts. They fixed it within an hours time, tested it. And then they proceeded to assist in wiping some viruses from my PC and they provided some valuable tips for PC maintenance. I will for sure use these guys again. They are the best computer repair service in Santa Barbara as far as I'm concerned. Thank You!

If I could post a zero star review I would. Do not take your computer here! I had a virus and called them to clean my computer in hopes that a smaller local company would take better care of their customers than the Geek Squad at Best Buy. I was very wrong. The man who fixed our computer was great, very nice and personable. He offered us their own version of spy ware protection (obviously looking to make a profit but if it worked I was ok with it), which I paid for and allowed him to install.
He informed me that Adobe Reader and Java Script brought viruses so he uninstalled them and then installed some alternative, nameless, program to take their place. A week later nothing worked, I could not download attachments, open files or perform basic tasks that used to be automatic with my brand new laptop. I waited several weeks to call them and when I did the owner herself blamed me for waiting so long and told me that Adobe Reader and Java Script were compatible with their software so the fact that they weren't working was not their problem.
After I was unsatisfied with her simply sending me an email without speaking to me further, she quickly raised her voice and lost her temper with me, finding any way possible to deny responsibility. If you want to pay $200 to have your computer "fixed" for it to work much worse than it had previously, then get yelled at and told that you cannot blame them since it had been a month since they had fixed it, go to Nerds to the Rescue! You will not get customer service from them once they have your money.
