Avoid Hawaiian if you can. Their website is garbage and you'll be lucky to get a human on the phone. I made a reservation several months ago and it is only showing up in the mobile app and not the website. There's no way to print my boarding passes, and cell phone reception in the airport sucks. We really don't want to rely on an unstable cell phone connection to have boarding passes ready, so I'm going to have to drive to the airport a day early and walk up to the counter to actually confirm our flights and get our paper boarding passes so we can fly tomorrow. Fortunately there's another option now. I highly recommend you fly Southwest airlines for your interisland flights. Southwest actually knows how to run an efficient airline operation.

I heard about the great customer service from Hawaiian Airlines and definitely didn't find that. We arrived at Lihu'e airport early and wanted to catch an earlier flight to Honolulu. Even though there were 3 flights before ours and they admitted many rows of empty seats, no change unless we pay a $60 change fee. Pretty lame when I know it's a couple clicks and it would help us out.
Also had someone at the ticketing gate make us check a bag that we have flown on this same trip on two other Delta planes and last week on 3 different Southwest Planes and charged us $15 to do so. I had no idea you were all about nickeling and diming. Just know I'll try and avoid using your airline in the future. I will also try and encourage others the same way. I'd highly recommend finding other airlines when traveling to and within Hawaii. #fail

Ever gone to someone hoping they could help you out but get completely rejected? If not, just call the Hawaiian Airlines customer service number. First off, they don't speak English so they won't understand what your problem is but if by some miracle they understand what you are saying they will for sure say the only thing they are trained to say which is, "sorry sir but I cannot help you." We're actually starting to love the experience because at least you can always count on them to tell you no. Thanks Hawaiian Airlines! Hope you're in business for the next 100 years to make this world a better place. :/

I am extremely disappointed with Hawaiian Airlines. My husband and I were flying back to the mainland from our wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii. We wanted to make the return trip as fun & relaxing as possible to celebrate our wedding. On our flight home, we arrived at the gate to learn that they switched our plane to a smaller aircraft. Basically, everyone who purchased comfort seating got a huge downgrade and a promise of a "refund" for the difference in price to basic seating.
We didn't get any time frame of when we will receive our money back and were just told "sorry." Needless to say, the gate area was filled with upset customers. At a minimum, I would have appreciated advance notice and then would have happily taken another flight. Nothing was offered aside from an apology and the whole situation was poorly handled.
I will avoid this airline in the future. For the price, you should at least be able to trust that you will get what you paid for, or be offered decent customer service when things change.
