I found the Dr. PC Fix guys to be very personable, as well as extremely fair in their pricing. Their hourly rate is the most reasonable I've come across in my experience, and they maintained contact throughout the process of establishing diagnosis, prior to incurring charges. If I were remaining in the Washington area, I would definitely be returning to them with all of my computer needs.

They were able to retrieve the contents of my fried desktop and were very clear in their explanation of why the computer itself could not be saved. Having worked in the IT industry for years, I'm not a technical type. So when my computer got a vicious virus I was certain I'd have to buy a new computer. I dropped it off with the guys at Dr. PC Fix and they handled everything. Professional and courtesy in every interaction with them. They kept me informed and made sure I knew what needed to be done as well as the price for the fixes. If ever I'm in need again, I will gladly go to these guys. I highly recommend them.

Fastest and most accurate technical troubleshooting and repair I've ever experienced. I work in tech but have stopped building my own PCs. I was having problems at boot with a new OMEN PC. He sleuthed out the issue and solved it in under 10 minutes. I would use their services again ANYTIME.

Had to repair a broken screen and hinges on a newer dell laptop. Dell was obviously not helpful and other repair places were not able to obtain the parts that were needed. Thor was able to get all of the parts quicker than expected and the overall fix was quick and flawless. I would highly recommend them for any computer repairs and will be using them again if we have any computer issues.

Thor helped walk me through the choices necessary to install a new SSD OS drive and a failed D rive in my custom built DAW along with Data recovery. I had a mechanical hard drive failure on a drive that I should have backed up years ago. (Baby pictures, taxes, short stories, etc. all potentially lost.) After a quick scan to see if the data was recoverable via software, all hope appeared lost when the results came back. James explained the options and was able to get the drive to a specialist in CA who was able to recover 99%+ of the data on the drive.

We got excellent service from DrPCFix when we took our dead computer in and asked if it was possible to retrieve our personal data. Within 1 - 1.5 hrs we were called to come and get the data. What fabulous service; both of the employees we met were right on top of their game. We know where to go if we ever have another computer retrieva/repair job - DR PC FIX!

First time at this computer repair shop. I was highly impressed with the business. It was casual, no appointment required. Both James and Thor were straight to the point and friendly. As a online independent reseller, customer service is everything. These guys were extremely fast fixing my computer. James asked me some questions of what was wrong.

I explained my situation and he had the diagnostics completed with in a couple hours. He gave me a call and explained all the options he could do for me. They didn't charge much to completely replace my motherboard, in fact I thought it was the wrong price at first because of how much labor I thought was involved. I've had 3 different PCs, with 3 different problems. I found James and Thor to be invaluable. They are talented, honest, timely professionals who take great pride in being the best. This is one of those businesses you tell all of your friends about!

Faced with the risk of losing my hard-drive's data, Dr PC Fix was able to get the job done, keeping me consistently posted with possibilities of courses of action. Brought in late in the day, they got the machine checked in, went through exactly what would and would not be saved by the recovery, and evaluated the data on the faulty drive. If troubles arrived, they'd need an external HD that would be large enough to hold all the recovery data (2TB, which neither me or they had on hand, meaning in that case, they'd only be able to get to that by next week.) Next morning, they called me up and said the data was still reachable directly, and that they could instead do a direct file transfer WHILE getting me a snazzy new NVMe drive.

I signed on for that immediately, and the data copy was completed by the the day after that. A small hiccup occured upon booting the computer up back at home, when I realized that the copy didn't actually get the main things I needed from the old drive, my Pictures and Documents. Thankfully they had given me the old faulty drive back and I was able to juryrig my way back into getting those files back. I'm still not sure how the methodology of what could and could not be copied over made any sense - the store said specifically the files that would be recovered included: pictures, documents, music, and other storage files, but NOT things like apps or games. Ironically, this was the exact opposite of what I ended up getting, as because I had put most of my game files in a "Game Archive" folder, just about every game I had was still installed on the new drive and completely runnable through Steam.

In any case if I hadn't tried backing things up through OneDrive, it probably would've gone through with less hiccups. The takeaway is that all my files are now safe-and-sound, my computer boots up WAY faster with the new drive, and all is well, even with the small hiccup at the finish line.

I was having hardware issues with a new PC build and couldn't narrow down where the issue was any further, so I took it in to these guys at Noon on Saturday and they had it posting and back to me by about 4pm, with cables more neatly in place, and the price was reasonable. They're very knowledgeable and listened carefully to what I had to say. I would 100% use them again and recommend them to others. I thought the reviews were too good to be true, but they matched my experience!

I couldn't recommend this place enough! My laptop fans were failing, so I ordered some new ones and took it all in to have them switched out. From the second I walked in, they were super welcoming and friendly and explained the whole process to me in detail. I was told it would be an hour at the most, so I killed some time around town, and after about 35 minutes, I got a call saying they were already finished.

They replaced the fans and thermal grease and it only cost about $55! My laptop has been running without any issues for days now, pretty much just as well as the day I got it : I'll be coming here for all of my computer troubles from now on and I will definitely encourage others to do the same! If you're having trouble finding somewhere to take your PC, look no further, this is the place. You won't regret it!

Brought my desktop in for a evaluation of failure and possible repair. Responded within two hours. The repair would not have made economic sense. When I offered to pay for the diagnostic time, he refused stating his firm's policy is to charge when actual repair is done. I found him to be professional, courteous, fast and knowledgeable. Will return for any future work.

James and co/ were a pleasure to work with! Came to them for a rather difficult custom PC build in a very small (ITX) case with millimeter clearance and they were still able to turn around my order in under a day.
