Ribbit Computers first store opened in the winter of 2004 by Alex Harb. Since then, the company has aggressively expanded, with four additional locations around Wichita and more sites are under negotiation - Ribbit has also expanded into the highly competitive mail-order repair business with Ribbit Repair.

Though the mouse that I purchased originally did not work I took it back and got a second mouse of the same kind, which also did not work with my computer. But I received excellent service and no questions asked return on the first mouse, and I left the second mouse at the store. I did not want to deal with it anymore.

They get 1 star for being more knowledgeable about computers than me. Downsides: 1) They do not sell any NEW (comes in the original box) computers, only refurbished. I did not find this out until I had to replace the computer they ran diagnostics on. 2) While they were up front about the cost of diagnostics and backing up/transferring data, they were NOT up front about the length of time to back up the data and transfer to a new computer.
After calling to check on the back up, they said it would take 3 days. After calling to see how long the transfer would take, they said 3 days. This means I must be without a computer for a week. Not good in the middle of a pandemic, when so many people are working from home via the internet and their computer. 3) This type of service is not convenient for people who live and work 45-60 minutes away and have to make 3-4 trips to Wichita in a week and a half just to have a working computer. Especially, in the midst of extra-cold, extra-snowy weather. Bottom line: I will go elsewhere next time I have computer issues.

I'd bought a great refurbished laptop some years ago from Ribbit. Still going great with a few tweaks here and there. Took it to them yesterday because a MS Windows update was not functioning. The two gentlemen diagnosed the issue, spent about 15 minutes doing so, and showed me a fix that I could do at home.which worked. They wouldn't accept any payment for the time spent since "we just showed you how to do it". Have always been impressed with their professionalism and honesty and they don't disappoint. My next laptop is coming from.you got it. Ribbit!

I've been to Ribbit a couple of times and always find them to be helpful and honest. This time I took in an unresponsive phone in hopes that they could get it to start and wipe it. The guy who helped me got the phone to start and handed it to me and told me that I was good to go. He wouldn't accept payment. I appreciate this sort of courtesy and professionalism. I'll look to Ribbit when I need to make a computer purchase or have a repair done. I can trust these guys!

During the pandemic, stock of computer parts has been hit or miss. Best Buy was sold out of DDR4 ram, and recommended Ribbit as an alternative. I figured I'd give it a shot to support a local business. The prices were higher than I'd expected, and on shopping around found a cheaper option after purchase. Naturally I wanted a refund, returned and explained my reasons to the clerk.
He advised us to return next-day as the manager could then process our refund, as an 'anti test bench use' return policy. I'd read the return policy on the receipt and, as the ram was unopened, was expecting a full refund tomorrow. We returned with the receipt and pristine-in-package hardware (the ram was in a small plastic case with perforated TAMPER EVIDENT seal intact) and were told by the same worker as yesterday that there was a 20% restocking fee.
I questioned that the item was pristine and unopened and could simply be re-shelved, but was told that was standard for certain items. After waiting a day, and driving an hour twice to visit Ribbit I can safely say I felt cheated but willing to pay to continue my day. Would I have received a full refund on the same day? The employees were kind and helpful in other ways, but I cannot recommend buying hardware from Ribbit. I won't speak for their repair and other services.

I was in Ribbit Computer's North Rock Road location and Kyle was working. He provided a couple services for my account. Although by himself and answering phones and waiting on other walk-in customers, Kyle was very pleasant, professional and patient with my low-tech questions. He handled every issue I had with efficiency. Thank you Kyle for the great customer service. I look forward to working with you in the future.

If you're considering purchasing a laptop from Ribbit Computers I strongly advise against it. In less than a year of purchasing my laptop I have brought it back 4 times now going on my 5th to get serviced and it's still isn't working. They will not refund your money they will only swap it out for the same computer if they have one which they don't which leaves you with basically a paperweight because they cannot fix it. There's a number on the door that states if you are unsatisfied please call this number, that's a laugh because my husband did and had to leave a voice mail and guess what we never got a call back. Surprise surprise.

2nd time using this company, not cheap but fast and honest. I have had 2 OS issues, one Mac, one HP and both times they have cleared the problem, saved my data, wiped old and reinstalled new OS with ZERO issues. The HP was locked up and had thousands of irreplaceable photos. Ribbit figured out a way to get them, then cleared and installed a new system.

I bought a rebuilt computer from them and when it needed repairs (I broke the screen) I took it back to them for repairs. When I checked the computer in they said it would be a couple of days for a tech to look at it and then someone would call with a quote. I checked it in on the 5th and got it back today 11th which was better than I was expecting.
They are very nice guys in there they helped carry my all in one computer out to my car and even put a WiFi card that had been missing when I bought it. I think they did a great job!

If 0 stars was possible thats what'd I choose. They barely even fixed my phone. I can peel up a part of my screen. I have an LG and they didn't even put an LG screen on it. It cracked just by holding it. They told me I have to keep my case on or my screen will come off. Not to mention, my battery drains to 10 from 100 in like 3 hours. And people don't get my texts or calls and the other way around too. DON'T GO TO RIBBIT COMPUTERS THEY DON'T FIX IT. THEY MAKE IT WORSE.

Took them my ipod touch with a broken screen. They had it fixed in about 1 hour. They did a nice job. I don't know how the prices compare to the competition because I didn't have time to shop around. I can't comment on any other of their services, but if I drop my ipod again I'll probably bring it back to Ribbit. Kevin

Not sure what's better - paying a neighborhood tech $10-$20 to check out and diagnose your computer and have them tell you it's A-OK, then you take it home and it still crashes, or take your computer to Ribbit, have them tell you that you have a virus, they charge you $50, you take it home.and it still crashes. At least now, out $50, I know why it crashes.
Maybe they were having a bad day, maybe Ribbit just hires people who don't look good in "Geek Squad black", but I've never encountered such sullen and uncommunicative people outside of Starbucks. While they're helping you at the counter, they'll turn around and fiddle with someone else's computer. When you call to get an explanation of what's wrong, they're rather non-specific, except to offer to re-install Windows for an additional fee. (It's not Windows, I've re-installed Windows twice, did all the updates, and nothing's changed.) I don't know, they didn't do any harm, but my computer's not working any better than it was before, and my wallet's $50 lighter.
Perhaps it's time for a new computer. With what I've paid in diagnostics and failed upgrades, I could buy a new computer. P.S.: cash or credit only, don't bring your checkbook.

They helped me a lot!: I just bought a new printer, I have no idea how to connect it. I checked few local services, these guys have most reasonable price. Their guy came in the evening same day and installed printer, hooked it to the phone line and inserted ink cartridges. At last he explained how to use it, so I just had no questions left. I will use them again if I'll need.
