Founded in 1994, DFW Computer Investigations was originally a spinoff from The Computer Wizard (TCW). TCW was founded by Warren P. Harris in 1994 to service and repair computers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Relocating the business to Plano, Texas in 1999, TCW continued to flourish when an unfortunate loss of data for a wedding Mr. Harris photographed, caused him to research data recovery options.Realizing he would have to either pay someone to recover the photos or find out how to do it himself, the rest, as they say "is history". Approached by a friend who was a Private Investigator in 2006, Mr. Harris studied for his Investigator's license and began honing his skills in Computer Forensics.
The company was renamed DFW Computer Integration in 2015. what we do the essence of our business is protecting your system. He has owned and operated several businesses repairing Pro Audio, Recording Studios and Computer Systems since 1975. He was a Technical Engineer for Motown Records, A Recording Engineer for many studios in Northern California and designed and built several studios over a 20 year career in the music business.
Leaving a 3 year career with Symantec in 1994, Warren founded Harris Computer Solutions, relocating the business to Plano, Texas in 1999. The business was renamed The Computer Wizard, which flourished until 2010, when Mr. Harris sold that company to pursue other interests.
During this time, DFW Computer Investigations was born with the sole purpose of Data Recovery and Computer Forensics. That company was renamed in 2015 to DFW Computer Integration, as Mr. Harris no longer performs forensic services.

Our computer died a couple of years ago and we took it to Best Buy. They told us there was nothing they could do to get our data back, so we bought a new computer and put the old one "on ice". We figured our music and photos were gone forever. Then we met Warren Harris from DFW Computer Integration and he said he could most likely get our data back.
So we gave him our old computer and the next day we had all our data back and relocated to our new laptop. The whole process was easy and very reasonably priced - and he's right here in the neighborhood. We could not be more pleased.

Over the years we have probably used 15-20 different "computer consultants" to fix issues on our computers. Some have moved on to only handle Corporate Accounts and they were very good. None, however, have been as good as Warren Harris at dfwci.com. He is always on time, knows exactly how to identify and fix the issue and does it in a timely manner without padding his time.
Our laptop went down and I was afraid everything was lost. Took it to Warren's office and a day later it was working well again and no data was lost. If I'm effusive in my praise it's because Warren is the BEST with whom I have ever worked. Extremely happy that we found him through Next Door Neighbor and will only use Warren for all our computer needs.

As a CPA in public practice, client or customer service is an important hallmark of my business. Accordingly, I recognize good customer service and am willing to pay for it. DFW Computer Integration (formerly the The Computer Wizard) supported the network for our office. Service, knowledge, and thoughtful suggestions were accompanied by a smile and straight talk. "Stuff" just worked after the Wizard visited our office. Fortunately or unfortunately we didn't get to see them much since their solutions worked on the first visit.

I had a good experience. My questions were answered. I had confidence that Warren knew all about computers. He fixed the problems and explained that I had all that I needed. I did need a back up and he had one on his truck. I was delighted for him to install it. I can rest easy re my computer for a while. I would recommend calling DFW Computer I.
